(Santa Ana del Norte)


Located at the Plaza of the village Santa Ana del Norte. Its construccion was iniciated in 1748 due to the growing population numbers as a report from Governor Don José Longar to His Majesty  shows.  This church has an enormous historical importance, because in this church Simon Bolívar was accepted as Supreme Chief of the Republic during the independence war. Venezuela becomes one entity  due to this act. General Santiago Mariño is appointed second in command during this act.
